Sidewalk Vending and Mobile Food Vending


The Department of Community Development issues Revocable Street Privileges (RSPs) for two vending programs: 

(1) Sidewalk Vending, in which vendors are authorized to sell food or merchandise from individually assigned locations in the public right-of-way in City Vending Districts; and 

(2) Mobile Food and Beverage Truck Vending, in which vendors are permitted to sell from several designated locations within the Central Business District. A list of Cincinnati Vending Districts can be found in CMC 723-16 below. For more information on Cincinnati’s food and merchandise vending programs, please refer to the below documents:


General Vending Program Information:
Peddler’s License - For food or merchandise sales on public sidewalks outside of the City’s designated Vending Districts, please contact the City Treasurer about obtaining a Peddler’s License.

Health License - To obtain a health permit, which is required for all Food Vendors, please contact the Cincinnati Health Department.
