 | | Girls Only Events were created in 2008 by Community Center Director, Katie Lear. The main purpose of the program is to expose girls ages 9 through15 from across the City to new recreational opportunities. The Girls Only Events are planned in order to promote heath and wellness, positive social skills, social interaction with girls from different diverse neighborhoods and most importantly providing a supportive environment for these experiences.
