Harrison Avenue Improvement Project

McHenry Avenue

Issue: The curbs on Harrison Avenue don’t lineup through the intersection of McHenry Avenue. The East leg of the intersection is about 54’ wide and the West leg is about 50’ wide. If you are in the outbound curb lane your lane essentially disappears as you cross the intersection.

Widen the south curb line of Harrison Avenue by two feet. This
would help to better align the curb lines through the intersection and keep
vehicles from having to shift over as they pass through the intersection.
Includes utility relocation and modification of the traffic signal.
